If you read the stickies you would know that:

1.) "can you post builds for me pls" threads will be closed instantly
2.) The whole smiting line consits of only one spell - Ray of Judgement - which is a Factions elite skill - sorry for you.

It is rather difficult to play a pure smiter because of the lack of skills in general at the beginning and the lack of GOOD skills in the smiting line.

If you really want to use smite skills, i'd recommend a heal/smite or prot/smite hybrid. Use smite skills, which deal damage and are useful to your team (smite hex, reversal of damage, smite condition [eotn]).
And if you really want to be a pure smiter, just grab any skill available to you (as there are few) and use some mesmer skills for energy (inspiration line). And I hope that you will realize some day that a smite/support monk is more valuable to the team than a pure smiter.

Nightfall is very limited to direct smiting skills instead they act more like protection skills although the damage is deflected back to the source. You can get a good idea by look at thisNightfall Elite Smiting

The 3 best are Shield of Judgment (Prophecies),Ray of Judgment ,Word of Censor.(Factions).

Mr Strength of honour would like to pin Mr roj to the floor and spank him but will need to bring its friends, a bunch of physicals to help hold mr Roj down :P

tho sadly your pretty much right :S There is a severe lack of quality smiting skills...and for too often the good ones are more efficiently taken as a x/Mo, on for example an orders necro, Er infozer elem or channeling rit were the primaries own skills give a better reward than 13+ in smiting, and bring more to the table.. You would ideally need a bunch of pve skills to fill in the massive gaps and they just arent available early on...let alone early nightfall.

Tho i will say, that if you dont care so much about running an optimal setup, then you can have a hell of a lot of fun

ROJ is a really bad skill thanks to long cast time and scatter. It is the monk version of "Who wants to be an Ele?" The players that like this skill after the nerf should stop being bad.

The 3 best smite skills are non elites: Reversal of Damage, Smite Hex, and Smite Condition. You can do whatever you want with the rest of your build, but those three skills will make you useful. Strength of Honor is a very potent maintained enchant you can place on attackers in your party.
